The New England Patriots selected Tom Brady in the 6th round of the 2000 NFL Draft, at pick 199. It would be a late pick that is remembered as one of the greatest steals in NFL history. The National Football League (NFL) Combine showed that Brady ran his 40-yard dash in 5.28 seconds, which was said to be slow for a quarterback.
